NPS-Vehicle Check Report
What is the NPS-VCR project?
VCR or Vehicle Check Report is a reverse lookup project started to aid communities and is part of the NP Tracker family of products.
Users of NP Tracker regularly asked for this function even if we do not have an active lookout report for a specific vehicle they need to confirm that the vehicle plate/VIN is in fact linked to a specific vehicle Make, Model, Colour (and even VIN or Engine number). We contacted the authorities to assist us but were ultimately informed that they cannot assist. We still continued with the project - we do not regularly give up - and decided to follow the same route we followed with NP tracker to generate a public domain lookup database for suspect and suspicious vehicles BUT this time do a reverse lookup check based on vehicles registration numbers or VIN's and provide the Make, Model etc data.
To aid us and keep this free for users we again ask for donations.

What to do if the info displayed on the NPS-VCR is incorrect?
It may happen that the info on our system is for the previously registered vehicle(s) - Mainly for Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal registration numbers that are normally reused- in these cases, one can scan the vehicle licence disk barcode with our Android application NPS-Licence disk scanner and it will read the barcode and autocorrect the info we have on the vehicle, one can also send MCD or eNatis reports or screenshots to our Telegram BOT @VCR_scannerBOT it will remove ALL personal information and update the NPS-VCR records.
If you come across anything along the way that we haven’t covered, or if you know of a tip you think others would find handy, please let us know and we’ll see about including it in this guide.
